Members of this group lead and enhance the assembly’s singing at the 9:15 Sunday Mass & special liturgical celebrations. Rehearsals are held every Thursday, September-May, 7:15- 9:00 p.m. An audition is not required. The ability to read music is helpful but not required. If you have experience singing in a high school choir or community chorus, you’ll likely enjoy participating in this musical group. .

Cantor

These singers lead the assembly’s singing and proclaim the psalms at Mass.  An audition and ongoing formation is required.  Participants will need to bring a hand held recording devise to rehearsals, held on the first Monday of every month at 6:30pm.

Hand Bell Choir

This group rings at Midnight Mass on Christmas eve, on Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday (9:15 Mass). To prepare, they attend 7 rehearsals (6:00-7:10 on Thursdays) prior to ringing at Mass. Experience ringing hand bells is not required. Members of this group MUST be able to read music, especially rhythm.

Instrumentalist

Accomplished instrumentalists with a willingness to share their musical talent should call the Director of Music and Liturgy to schedule an audition. Arrangements for playing at Mass are flexible, depending on your schedule and the needs of the Director.

Resurrection Singers

These volunteers are available during the day to lead and enhance the assembly’s singing at funerals.  There are no other requirements for membership. When news of a funeral arrives, the membership receives an e-mail notification of the date and time of the pending funeral.  The available members assemble fifteen minutes before Mass begins. There are approximately 50 funerals each year. There is one weekday morning rehearsal each year (June).
