I was appointed pastor at Holy Apostles on June 22, 2010. I have the good fortune of celebrating sacraments – especially Eucharist – with you. As pastor I work with the parish council, parish leaders, and parish staff to articulate the vision for the future of our parish. I then work with staff and parishioners to coordinate our efforts in accomplishing that vision at this time in our parish history.
I am the pastoral associate here at Holy Apostles. I was ordained May 15, 2010 at the age of 44. I have been here at Holy Apostles since June of 2010. I am grateful for this opportunity to serve the people of God in whatever capacity I am able.
I started serving Holy Apostles as a deacon in June 2009. My wife, Mary, and our family joined the parish in 1993. I provide baptism and marriage preparation. I perform baptisms, witness marriages, assist and preach at weekend liturgies – usually monthly. I am also a member of our Human Concerns and Outreach committees.
Jim Graham - Transitional Deacon
My name is Jim Graham and I am a fourth-year seminarian at Sacred Heart School of Theology studying for the Archdiocese of Portland, Oregon. I was ordained into the Diaconate, along with 8 other men, in Portland this past May 21st and I am scheduled to be ordained into the priesthood June 9, 2012.
Music has been a part of my life since I was very young. I am a member of a musical family. Piano lessons began in the second grade and continued beyond my college years. I graduated from UW Parkside with a BA in music. I’ve worked as a piano teacher, a high school choral director, a high school band director and director of a high school string ensemble. I’ve also worked as an accompanist for various choirs, soloists and as the pianist in the orchestra pit for many musicals. My first job for the church began in 1994. Shortly after that, I began study of the pipe organ. Presently, I am a member of the Milwaukee Archdiocesan Choir and serve as secretary of the Archdiocesan Liturgical Musicians Association (ALMA). This is my tenth year serving the people of Holy Apostles.
Marsha Krueger – Administrative Assistant for Music Ministry
I have worked at Holy Apostles as the Music and Liturgy Secretary since October of 2008. On the liturgy side I coordinate the typing, designing, and printing of the orders of worship that we use at mass at Holy Apostles. I support the liturgy ministries such as lectors, ushers, greeters, and Eucharistic ministers, and I provide services for funerals and weddings. On the music side I provide support for the regular, funeral, and hand bell choirs, and the cantors and organists.
Faith Formation
Mike Crain – Director ofChild, Adult & Family Ministry
I have been in professional ministry in the Catholic Church since 1981. I have served St. Cecilia Parish in Thiensville, St. James Parish, in Menomonee Falls and since 1995, Holy Apostles Parish. I hold Bachelor of Arts (1981) and Master of Arts (1989) degrees in Theology from Marquette University. I am responsible for Preschool, Elementary and Junior High Religious Education; First Reconciliation and First Communion Preparation; Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults; Adult Bible Study, Adult Formation, and Baptismal Preparation for Parents. I enjoy sharing faith with each of the different groups that I have the opportunity to interact with. The diversity of the position provides many outlets for and inputs to my experience of the presence of God in the world around us.
Everything I have experienced in my professional life has been spearheaded by my love of working with teenagers. I graduated from Marquette University with a BA in English, physical education and secondary education. In 1985 I received a graduate certificate in youth ministry from Cardinal Stritch University, in 1996 a graduate certificate from Loyola University – Institute of Spiritual Companionship in spiritual direction and in 2000 a MA in pastoral studies from St. Francis Seminary. I have been working with teens all my adult life, mostly in the area of education with the Milwaukee Public School System as a teacher and the Archdiocese of Milwaukee as a lay ecclesial minister in lifelong Christian formation and confirmation preparation. To serve the people of Holy Apostles Parish has been my honor and privilege since 1983. I have witnessed parents who have supported their youth by enrolling them in HA youth ministry programs, thus contributing to strengthening their teens’ faith and building the kingdom as Jesus asks. Words do not express my gratitude.

Stewardship and Parish Life
Terri Engsberg – Director of Parish Advancement and Stewardship
I recently changed positions at Holy Apostles. In July, 2011 I was hired as the Director of Parish Advancement and Stewardship. Before that, I worked in the Adult, Child and Family Ministry. In my new position I will
advance the parish mission by gathering the resources necessary to sustain the mission of the parish
promote stewardship as a way of Christian discipleship and
direct our Parish Life Ministry.
My husband Dave and I have four boys. We have lived in New Berlin since 1988 and have been members of Holy Apostles since 1993. I am excited about my new position and feel privileged to serve here.
I have been the Director of Administrative Services at Holy Apostles since September 1991. I am responsible for parish administration in the following areas: finances, building & grounds, human resources and the maintenance of the parish administrative information systems.
I accepted the position at Holy Apostles because I wanted to be able to spend more time with my family and see my children grow. I enjoy working with the parish staff and appreciate the support of our parish volunteers.
Mike Wondra - Director of Building & Grounds
Start Date: April, 1982
Services Provided: Assure proper security, maintenance and cleanliness of all Holy Apostles Parish facilities.
Although the Building & Grounds department is not a Religious ministry, I feel strongly that the department plays a significant role in helping all the other ministries, by providing a safe, clean and well maintained setting to carry out their activities, whether praying, planning, teaching or playing.
I joined the Holy Apostles staff on August 9, 2011 as the administrative assistant for the parish office. In this role I will create the bulletin, schedule masses, manage the parish calendar, answer phones, assist those who come to the parish office, provide sacramental records, and provide administrative assistance to our priests and Director of Administrative Services.

I am married to Tom and we have four children, Jenna, Stephanie, Scott and Justin. I have met many people over the years through volunteering and they are an extension to my family. Holy Apostles is a very rewarding and spiritual parish to belong to.

Provides supervision to the custodial staff.
Tom Vizer –Custodian
Start Date: August 1994
I provide custodial duties for the parish buildings.
My name is Greg Young and I am the principal here at Holy Apostles School. I have happily served this parish since I was first hired back in 2002. What makes me enjoy my work is the children and the realization that my efforts are helping improve their lives. I often roam the school hallway during the day to get a feel for what is going on. I work with our many volunteers to support the school. These groups include: Home & School, School Committee, Athletics, the parish finance, technology, and personnel committees and our Parish Council in providing a top notch school. I bring knowledge of what our students must do to succeed and I direct our school efforts to make that success happen. Parishioners continually step up and get things done. I also meet with the high schools keeping informed of the needs of students. There I hear that, on average, our students, academically, perform better than other students when they get into high school. I enjoy leading our fantastic group of teachers as they provide this quality education to our parish school.
I am the School Administrative Secretary, and I have been employed at Holy Apostles School for 17 years. My most important responsibility is the day to day activities of the school office, which includes caring for the students, interacting with parents, and working in harmony with the teachers and principal. Some of my other responsibilities include registering students, maintaining the current student data base and facilitating the publication of our weekly “Messenger”.
My ministry here at Holy Apostles is serving students, parents and teachers with understanding and compassion. My own children attended Holy Apostles School, and I felt it was a wonderful and valuable experience for them. I was thrilled when my position opened in 1994, and I have been honored to work here at Holy Apostle School since then.
I have been part of the Holy Apostles School Family for most of my life. I began as a first grader and continued through my eighth grade graduation. I then had the privilege, after college graduation, to return to my Alma mater as a teacher. I had the honor of working with many wonderful families and being part of the education process for hundreds of first grade students over my twenty-seven years of employment.
I have returned to the H.A. School family as the part-time school secretary, as of June, 2011. My duties include providing assistance to the students, parents and staff of the school. I am also responsible for recording the tuition and fee payments and the scheduling of the lunchroom and playground supervisors.
I feel blessed to have the opportunity to work with and serve the people of Holy Apostles Parish and School.
