Birthday Book Club
The primary fundraiser for the school library is the Birthday Book Club. Individual families donate money to the school library, and are recognized with a permanent label in a library book of the child's choice recognizing their birthday. A sign up form is available through this website - Birthday Book Club.
Scholastic Book Fair
The Holy Apostles Scholastic Book Fair is held every year during Catholic Schools Week at the end of January. This event raises money that is used throughout the school for various needs, not just the library. You may order book fair books online through the Online Fair website before and after the book fair.
A description of the special project volunteer positions is included here.
Book Donations
The school library is happy to accept your donation of gently used books. Anything we cannot use in the library will be offered to classroom teachers. Any item not needed by the library or classrooms is donated to the New Berlin Public Library for their use or used book sale. Please contact Mrs. Wildner directly to arrange a drop off at school.
Used Book Sale
Due to space issues, every year when new books are added to the collection, older, out-dated books and duplicate books must be weeded. These books are offered for sale to students for 5-25 cents each. Books leftover from the sale are donated to the New Berlin Public Library. Students in grades 2-8 and parents are welcome to shop this sale which is held annually at the end of May. Funds raised through this sale go directly back into the library to purchase new books.
