Transforming the World, Once Gift At A Time

Jesus teaches us that whatever we do for the least of his sisters and brothers, we do personally for Him. As disciples, our relationship with God, through Jesus, calls us out of our comfort zone into seeking out the least of our world, finding the lost and serving those in need.

This Advent, Holy Apostles is partnering with three service organizations—Christmas Clearing Council of Waukesha County, ERAS Senior Network, and All Saints—in order to provide our parish families with a variety of service options through which we can answer the call to deepen our service to the least.

Advent Service Experience #1: Christmas Clearing Council (CCC)

Sponsoring a family through CCC is a very personal giving experience. With a commitment of as little as $75 and a bit of your time, you will help keep a child’s faith in the magic of Christmas and be able to personally embrace the spirit of giving with your family.

Call (262) 896-3390 for more information or by Friday, December 6 to become a sponsor!

Advent Service Experience #2: Eras Senior Network

Eras Senior Network is a nonprofit leader in creating communities where seniors and adults with disabilities are fully embraced through collaborative partnerships, coordination of services, and   intergenerational volunteer activities. Each year, Eras creates, assembles, and delivers over 350  self-sufficiency care packages for low-income seniors and adults with disabilities living all throughout Waukesha County.

Beginning this weekend, giving tree tags will be available for pick-up near the tree in the Welcome Center. All gifts are to be returned UNWRAPPED, to the marked wooden bins in the Welcome Center and the Parish Center Lobby no later than Sunday, December 15. If you are also interested in    helping to assemble packages the week of December 19, or in delivering packages to recipients on Saturday, December 21, contact Becca Snow at Eras Senior Network at (262) 522-2409 or

Advent Service Experience #3:  Food Boxes and Gift Cards for All Saints

We will be praying with and serving residents of the Garden Homes Neighborhood near 25th and Capitol through our partnership with All Saints. We are in need of prepared food boxes, gift cards and volunteers to help with distribution.

Food Box: To prepare a food box, please take a box and instruction sheet from the Parish Center Lobby. Filled boxes should be returned by Thursday, December 19 or Friday, December 20, between 8 am and 9 pm.

Gift Cards: To contribute a gift card, please leave your gift card donations in the wooden boxes near the entrances of church. We are requesting Pick 'N Save or Walmart gift cards only ($25 or $50 denominations), as these are the most accessible stores within this area and will allow the recipients the greatest purchasing flexibility.

Monetary Donations: If you'd prefer to make a monetary donation, please use the "Service Outreach" drop-down option from This fund will help cover costs for our service outreach programs, including but not limited to canned hams to be    distributed to All Saints along with the food boxes, the meal for 200 guests at the delivery event, and additional gift cards and supplies for the meal programs.  This online giving option is available through Saturday, December 21.

Volunteers for Distribution: On Saturday, December 21, we are looking for up to 50 parishioners to participate in the distribution event at All Saints. We will load boxes into the truck at HA and unload them at All Saints. We will participate in a prayer service with the recipients, followed by a lunch and fellowship/discussion with them before the boxes are distributed.  Time commitment is from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm.
