Baptism celebrates the welcoming of an individual into the church.
If you wish to bring a child to Holy Apostles for baptism, you will first attend a preparation session on the Sacrament of Baptism. The reflection session is held once a month from 6:30 -- 8:30 PM. Godparents are encouraged to attend as well.
Baptisms are celebrated at any of the available weekend liturgies.
In the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we have the opportunity to repent and experience the grace of God through His boundless mercy. Preparation for the gift of Reconciliation begins at home. Parents are required to attend the Parent meeting to receive the materials and learn how to help facilitate the learning of this sacrament.
The child must be a least 7 years old and entering second grade to register. A parent/child retreat is required and the Sacrament is celebrated in the fall.
In the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist, we experience the true presence of Jesus in the Body and Blood of Christ. Preparation begins at home. Parents are required to attend a parent meeting in January to learn how to teach their child about this most Holy Sacrament. A parent/child retreat is required and group Eucharist celebrations are celebrated in the Spring after Easter.
