Advent 2025

The season of Advent prepares us for Christmas when we celebrate the Nativity of our Lord, Jesus Christ. See below the special prayer opportunities, service projects, and events we have planned for this Advent.

Prayer & Reflection

  • Vespers (Evening Prayer) - Join us on Wednesday, December 10 at 6:00 pm in the Church for Vespers to pray for peace in our world.

  • Praise & Worship Adoration - On Wednesday, December 3, from 6:30-7:15 pm, led by the Youth in the church, followed by hospitality in the Welcome Center until 8:00 pm.

  • Communal Reconciliation Service - On Saturday, December 13, from 10:30-11:30 am, we are hosting a prayer service to reflect on our lives through prayer, Scripture, and song. Several priests will be available for individual Reconciliation.

  • Reconciliation on Wednesdays - Reconciliation will also be available on Wednesdays, December 3, 10 &17, from 5:00-6:00pm in the Welcome Center/Fr. Arul's Office. Please note that there will be no Reconciliation on Wednesday, December 24 & 31, due to the 4:00 pm Christmas Mass and the 4:30 pm Vigil Mass for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God.   • Anointing of the Sick - After Masses on December 13 and 14, Fr. Arul will offer the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick for all those who desire a special blessing and prayers for healing.

  • Eucharistic Adoration - The Adoration Chapel is open for silent prayer Mondays to Fridays 6:00am to 8:00pm. To sign up for a committed time every week, click here.

  • Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception - The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception celebrates the miraculous conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This is a Holy Day of Obligation and is on Monday, December 8th. Masses will be at 8:30 am and 6:00 pm.

  • Masses in Advent - Sunday Mass times are the same during Advent. Christmas Masses are Wednesday, December 24th at 4:00 pm, 6:00 pm, and 10:00 pm and Thursday, December 25th at 8:00 am and 10:00 am. 9:30 pm Concert in Church on Wednesday December 24th as well

Service

  • House of Peace Food Boxes - This year we will once again be supporting the House of Peace with the Holiday Food Boxes. These boxes will be distributed to families in need for Christmas. We will start collecting food on November 16th - December 3rd. The packing date is set for Saturday, December 6th at 8:30 am in Church.

    We are collecting boxes of mashed potatoes, bags of stuffing, cake mix, frosting, green beans, corn, pudding, corn bread mix, macaroni and cheese, cranberry sauce, canned yams, and canned gravy (no glass jars please). For specific sizes on items look at the flyer below. Blue Bins will be available in the Welcome Center & Parish Center Lobby.

    In lieu of providing food for the Holiday boxes, you may also contribute by cash or check. The cost of filling a Food Box is $40. Please make checks payable to Holy Apostles and write House of Peace in the check memo. For more information, contact Mary Beth Setzke at (262) 352-1559.

Events

  • Advent Lessons & Carols- On Saturday, December 6, following the 4:30 pm Mass, join the musicians of Holy Apostles for a beautiful evening of Advent Lessons and Carols, a cherished tradition of Scripture and song that prepares our hearts of the coming of Christ. Through readings and carols, we'll reflect on God's promise of salvation and the hopeful anticipation of Christmas. All are welcome!

  • Special Needs Ministry Christmas Luncheon - The Special Needs Christmas Luncheon is on Sunday, December 7 from 11:00 am-2:00 pm. To sign up to attend or volunteer, contact Stephanie Arcuri at steph_arcuri@hotmail.com.

  • Breakfast in Bethlehem: Join us for the annual Holy Apostles’ Breakfast in Bethlehem on Sunday, December 14, immediately after 8:00 am Mass in the school gym. This cherished Advent tradition is a beautiful way to keep Christ at the heart of Christmas. Come share in fellowship, food, and faith as our children joyfully present the Nativity of Jesus. We look forward to celebrating this special morning with you, your family, and friends!
