Confirmation Retreat

The Holy Apostles Confirmation candidates had an amazing opportunity to participate in their Confirmation Retreat at the Catholic Ecology Center on June 15, 2026. The day began beautifully by joining together for Daily Mass right at the Catholic Ecology Center. Following Mass, the rest of the day centered around nurturing the youth's relationships with God, one another, and creation.

 

Our candidates spent the day immersed in a variety of meaningful activities, including:

• An Ecology Hike: Integrating Scripture and intentional reflection time in nature to help them hear God's voice in the quiet.

• Team Building: Activities focused on strengthening fellowship, communication, and trust among peers.

• Experiencing Creation: A refreshing river walk alongside a fun, hands-on visit to the local chicken, goat, and pig coops!

• Small Group Discussions: Deep, intentional times of sharing where the teens processed their experiences, discussed their personal faith journeys, and explored how to activate and grow their relationship with Christ through the help of the Holy Spirit.

 

This year, the retreat featured a special itinerary change: the group returned to Holy Apostles for dinner, followed by the celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and a peaceful time of prayer in the Adoration Chapel.
