Mercy Mats
Be the hands of Jesus and make Mercy Mats for MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary. Many hands are needed to create these mats made of plastic grocery bags. We need people to sort and flatten plastic bags, cut the bags into strips, and loop the strips together and roll into balls called plarn (plastic yarn).
Those who can crochet will use the balls to make the mats. We have supplies, but you may bring your own bags, scissors and crochet supplies. Childcare is not provided; children/teenagers are welcome to help. For information, contact Kris Kodaski at kkodaski@aol.com. DATES LISTED BELOW!
Millions of Monicas
Praying with confidence for our children, First Monday of every month, 7:00 pm, in Church. The next meeting is Monday, JuLY 6th. Many of us have children who are struggling to embrace their Catholic faith or have left the church entirely. Like St. Monica, as mothers we persevere in prayer for their joyful return to full unity with the Catholic Church. We are not a support group or a self-help group.
Join with other mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, Godmothers, Aunts and women with a motherly heart, as we pray to grow in holiness and humility, and for our children's faithful return or continued practice of the Catholic faith.
Grief Support
The next Grief Support Meeting is on Monday, July 13, from 6:30-8:00 pm. This is an opportunity for you to share your story of grief in a safe and supportive environment. We offer comfort, friendship, and many resources. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month from 6:30-8:00 pm in the Holy Apostles Welcome Center. Do you have questions or need additional information? Please contact Michelle Ray at (414) 333-0330 or Ruthann Castelaz at rcastelaz@gmail.com, or (414) 405-4564.
