Mission Director: Pastoral Music

Holy Apostles Catholic Parish & School is seeking a Mission Director: Pastoral Music to promote and champion the parish mission in collaboration with other staff. This position is responsible for the development of the musical worship experience. The candidate should possess an ability to expand and enhance the breadth and depth of the liturgical worship with a variety of music types, including contemporary. Excellent interpersonal and technical skills that will help reach musical talent and involvement throughout the community.

This is a full-time position, with regular weekend and frequent evening hours required.

Responsibilities 

• Prepare, play and provide instrumental and vocal leadership for all parish liturgical worship, including weekend and school Masses, sacramental celebrations and Holy Days.
• Recruit, train, and schedule cantors, choirs, small ensembles, instrumental into parish worship
• Maintain music equipment, e.g. piano and organ tunings, piano humidity, sound system repairs
• Develop, organize, and maintain the parish liturgical music library
• Keep abreast of current developments in liturgy and in music and direct music ministers to available training workshops and formational opportunities
• Knowledge of video technology setup, preparation and execution necessary for parish liturgy
• Develops budget for liturgical music and manages funds allocated

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in Catholic worship as musician required.
• Working knowledge of current liturgical music required.
• Proven vocal and/or keyboard, and conducting skills required.
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in the field of music or related field
• Having completed or willing to complete the Safeguarding All God's Children certification class

Accounting & HR Assistant

Holy Apostles Catholic Parish & School is seeking a Mission Assistant: Accounting and Human Resources to promote and champion our parish/school mission. This position is responsible for providing administrative support as they relate to Accounting and Human Resources services.

This is a full time, 40 hours per week position.

Responsibilities 

ACCOUNTING SERVICES
• Prepare and record electronic, online giving and ACH/EFT contributions.
• Record bank deposits on a weekly basis
• Reconcile monthly bank statements
• Process bills for accounts payable
• Recording and reconcile General Ledger entries
• Prepare quarterly and year-end tax reporting, such as 1099’s, sales tax report and payment
• Assist Finance Manager with financial report and budgeting

HUMAN RESOURCES SERVICES
• Prepare semi-monthly payroll submission for approval
• Prepare invoices for payment to ensure proper coverage
• Assist with preparation and processing of new hires, terminating and transitioning employees.
• Assist with benefit open enrollment, qualifying events and COBRA
• Support recruiting efforts of open positions
• Maintain current, well-organized files, records, and HRIS

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources or a related field, or similar experience.
• Experience with spreadsheets, computerized financial software, data management and interfaces, email/internet, word processing and computers required.
• Experience in payroll processing and databases.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with Financial and Human Resources information.
• Detail-oriented, with exceptional time management and strong organization skills.
• Ability to talk about one’s personal relationship with Jesus and love of the Catholic Church.
• Understanding of servant leadership, discipleship, and disciple-making principles desired.
• Having completed or willing to complete the Safeguarding All God's Children certification class

After School Care Assistant (Part-time)

Holy Apostles Catholic School is seeking a part-time Extended Care Assistant in our After-School Care program. Looking for passionate and energetic individuals that are excited to work with students from 3K-8th grade. The work hours would start at 2:45pm and, at the latest, end at 6:00pm, on days when school is in session. Flexible days commitment available; 5, 3 or 2 days per week. The Extended Care Assistant will assist with the supervision of children to ensure a safe, caring, and welcoming environment for young children and their parents.

Responsibilities 

· Ensures students are orderly and acting appropriately.
· Contribute to the children’s sense of self-worth as a Christian person.
· Effectively perform activities assigned that meet the needs, interests and abilities of the children.
· Directs movement of students to and from various areas of the building in a safe and organized manner.
· Maintain open lines of communication with children and their parents.
· Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will be committed to the values of Catholic education, have experience working with children, be driven to meet the needs of all learners and having completed, or willing, to complete the Safeguarding All God's Children certification.

Substitute Teacher (Temporary)

Holy Apostles School is seeking a short-term Substitute Teacher to teach in grades 3K through 8th. The Substitute Teacher will work in the absence of our regular teachers/aides, assisting students in their daily tasks and helping ensure the understanding of the subject matter being covered. This position possesses the skills needed to cover daily instruction and run the classroom environment in an orderly fashion.

Responsibilities 

- Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate.
- Assign classwork and homework as necessary, according to lesson plans
- Modify teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students
- Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment
- Supervise students out of class such as in the hallways and in the cafeteria
- Comply with all procedures, guidelines, and policies of the school at all times
- Maintain a professional attitude in all manner of conduct with students, faculty, and parents, including a commitment to confidentiality

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will be committed to the values of Catholic education, possess a valid Wisconsin teaching or substitute teaching license and be driven to meet the needs of all learners.​
