Mission Director: Pastoral Music

Holy Apostles Catholic Parish & School is seeking a Mission Director: Pastoral Music to promote and champion the parish mission in collaboration with other staff. This position is responsible for the development of the musical worship experience. The candidate should possess an ability to expand and enhance the breadth and depth of the liturgical worship with a variety of music types, including contemporary. Excellent interpersonal and technical skills that will help reach musical talent and involvement throughout the community.

This is a full-time position, with regular weekend and frequent evening hours required.

Responsibilities 

- Prepare, play and provide instrumental and vocal leadership for all parish liturgical worship, including weekend and school Masses, sacramental celebrations and Holy Days.
- Recruit, train, and schedule cantors, choirs, small ensembles, instrumental into parish worship
- Maintain music equipment, e.g. piano and organ tunings, piano humidity, sound system repairs
- Develop, organize, and maintain the parish liturgical music library
- Keep abreast of current developments in liturgy and in music and direct music ministers to available training workshops and formational opportunities
- Knowledge of video technology setup, preparation and execution necessary for parish liturgy
- Develops budget for liturgical music and manages funds allocated

Qualifications

- 3-5 years’ experience in Catholic worship as musician required.
- Working knowledge of current liturgical music required.
- Proven vocal and/or keyboard, and conducting skills required.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in the field of music or related field
- Having completed or willing to complete the Safeguarding All God's Children certification class

Mission Bookkeeper (part-time)

Holy Apostles Catholic Parish is seeking a part-time Mission Bookkeeper to promote and champion our mission in supporting the Mission Manager: Finance. This position is responsible for assisting with administrative, bookkeeping and entry level accounting responsibilities.

This is a 22 hours per week position. Hours required on Mondays and Thursdays, flexible hours on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays, and no Friday hours.

Responsibilities 

o Prepare and record electronic, online giving and ACH/EFT contributions
o Record bank deposits on a weekly basis
o Prepare payments and supporting documentation for review, authorization, signatures, and mailing
o Prepare annual sales tax report and payment
o Record other disbursements to the general ledger
o Prepare investment entries
o Reconcile monthly bank statements
o Provide monthly financial reports
o Maintain chart of accounts

Qualifications

o Degree in accounting or current second year enrollment of accounting program required or minimum
three-year equivalent work experience.
o Knowledge of non-profit financial software a plus.
o Proficient and accurate in word processing and data entry necessary.
o Ability to set priorities and be flexible in the management of diverse assignments and tasks necessary.
o Understanding of servant leadership, discipleship, and disciple-making principles required.
o Ability to talk about one’s personal relationship with Jesus and love of the Catholic Church required.
o Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to ongoing spiritual growth required.

3K Aide (part-time)

Holy Apostles Catholic School is seeking a part-time 3K aide starting in the 2023-24 academic year.
The position hours would be 8:00am-12:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays when school is in session, totaling 12 hours per week. The classroom aide is responsible for assisting the teacher in the implementation of daily activities that are appropriate to the development of the children. The aide will
assist in the care and protection of the children in order to maintain a safe environment conducive to each child’s growth and development.

Responsibilities 

• Enthusiasm, energy, and passion for working with early childhood students
• Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and staff
• Strong desire to work collaboratively with families and staff
• Ability to keep multiple projects moving and on target
• Ability for future growth into 4K Teacher Aide

Qualifications

• Having completed or willing to complete the Safeguarding All God’s Children certification
• Associate or Bachelor degree in Education, or related field is preferred
• Early Childhood and Special Education licensing or experience is preferred

4K Teacher

Holy Apostles Catholic School is seeking a 4K teacher for the 2023-24 school year. The qualified candidate is responsible for the instruction, supervision, and management of school students. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, exhibit empathy and support for the academic and emotional needs of his or students and foster positive interactions with students and fellow employees. He or she must also fulfill other responsibilities in accordance with Holy Apostles' mission statement.

Responsibilities 

• Teaches all subjects to students of the 4-Year-Old Kindergarten.
• Shares with administration and staff a responsibility for excellence in education, curriculum development/improvement, school’s policies and procedures, academic achievement and student well-being.
• Organizes, plans, and prepares assigned classes for optimum educational outcomes by preparing daily lesson plans for subjects taught in alignment with curriculum guidelines established by the State of Wisconsin, Archdiocese of Milwaukee, and Holy Apostles Catholic School.
• Creates a positive learning atmosphere for all students. Including recognizing and providing for individual learning styles.
• Evaluates students’ growth and achievement.

Qualifications

• Committed to the values of Catholic education
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field,
• Possess a valid Wisconsin teaching license
• Having completed or willing to complete the Safeguarding All God’s Children certification

4K Aide (part-time)

Holy Apostles Catholic School has opening for a part-time 4K School Aide, starting in the 2023-24
school year. The position hours would be 8:00am-1:00pm on Mondays through Fridays when school is in session, totaling 25 hours per week. The qualified candidate is responsible for assisting the teacher in the implementation of daily activities that are appropriate to development level of the children. The aide will assist in the care and protection of the children in order to maintain a safe environment conducive to each child’s growth and development.

5K Teacher

Holy Apostles Catholic School is seeking a 5-year-old Kindergarten teacher for the 2023-24 school year. The qualified candidate is responsible for the instruction, supervision, and management of school students. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, exhibit empathy and support for the academic and emotional needs of his or students and foster positive interactions with students and fellow employees. He or she must also fulfill other responsibilities in accordance with Holy Apostles' mission statement.

• Teaches all subjects to students of 5-Year-Old Kindergarten, with the exception of gym, music, library and Spanish.
• Shares with administration and staff a responsibility for excellence in education, curriculum development/improvement, school’s policies and procedures, academic achievement and student well-being.

Before and After School Care Lead (Part-time)

Holy Apostles Catholic School is seeking a part-time Extended Care Lead to manage the Extended Care Before School and After-School Care program. Looking for passionate and energetic individuals that are excited to work with students from 3K-8th grade. This is a part time opportunity with up to 20 hours per week. The work hours would be Monday – Friday, start at 2:30pm and, at the latest, end at 6:00pm, days school is in session. Additional hours needed for weekly scheduling management.

Responsibilities 

• Effectively plan activities that meet the needs, interests and abilities of the children
• Ensures students are orderly and acting appropriately.
• Directs movement of students to and from various areas of the building in a safe and organized manner.
• Responsible for scheduling and registration of Extended Care children
• Supervise Extended Care staff
• Contribute to the children’s sense of self-worth as a Christian person.
• Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Maintain open lines of communication with children, their parents and fellow team members.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience, be committed to the values of Catholic education, have experience working with children, be driven to meet the needs of all learners and having completed, or willing, to complete the Safeguarding All God's Children certification.

After School Care Assistant (Part-time)

Holy Apostles Catholic School is seeking a part-time Extended Care Assistant in our After-School Care program. Looking for passionate and energetic individuals that are excited to work with students from 3K-8th grade. The work hours would start at 2:45pm and, at the latest, end at 6:00pm, days school is in session. Flexible days commitment available; 5, 3 or 2 days per week.
The Extended Care Assistant will assist with the supervision of children to insure a safe, caring and welcoming environment to young children and their parents.

Responsibilities 

- Ensures students are orderly and acting appropriately.
- Contribute to the children’s sense of self-worth as a Christian person.
- Effectively perform activities assigned that meet the needs, interests and abilities of the children.
- Directs movement of students to and from various areas of the building in a safe and organized manner.
- Maintain open lines of communication with children and their parents.
- Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will be committed to the values of Catholic education, have experience working with children, be driven to meet the needs of all learners and having completed, or willing, to complete the Safeguarding All God's Children certification.

Playground Supervisor (Part-time)

Holy Apostles Catholic School is seeking a part-time Playground Supervisor starting in the 2023-24 school year. The position hours would be 11:30am-1:00pm Mondays through Fridays, when school is in session, totaling 7.5 hours per week. The qualified candidate is responsible for overseeing the daily afternoon recess periods (outdoor or indoor) and supervise students to ensure a positive and safe environment.

Responsibilities 

- Supervises students at playtime and maintains a harmonious atmosphere by encouraging peaceful resolution of conflicts.
- Instruct recess duty volunteers on playground rules and expectations.
- Directs movement of students to and from the playground in a safe and organized manner.
- Responds to emergency situation (injured students, conflicts, etc.) for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
- Ability to work outside from August through June.

Qualifications

Substitute Teacher (Temporary)

Holy Apostles School is seeking a short-term Substitute Teacher to teach in grades 3K through 8th. The Substitute Teacher will work in the absence of our regular teachers/aides, assisting students in their daily tasks and helping ensure the understanding of the subject matter being covered. This position possesses the skills needed to cover daily instruction and run the classroom environment in an orderly fashion.

Responsibilities 

- Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate.
- Assign classwork and homework as necessary, according to lesson plans
- Modify teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students
- Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment
- Supervise students out of class such as in the hallways and in the cafeteria
- Comply with all procedures, guidelines, and policies of the school at all times
- Maintain a professional attitude in all manner of conduct with students, faculty, and parents, including a commitment to confidentiality
